Education

Software built around how education actually runs.

Institutions run on twenty parallel registers, and the software sold to them was demonstrated to a trustee rather than tested at the counter.

Who uses it

The fee counter, the class teacher, the exam coordinator

A school's year has a shape: admissions, term fees, attendance, internals, boards, promotion, transfer certificates. Every one of those is a deadline that does not move, and most institutions meet them with a register, a spreadsheet and somebody who remembers how it was done last year.

The software that works here is judged in two places — the fee counter in the first week of a term, and a teacher marking a section between two periods. Anything that takes longer than the paper it replaced gets quietly abandoned, and the office ends up keying it in twice.

The workflows we build around

  • Enquiry to admission to section allocation
  • Fee structures, concessions, instalments and reconciliation
  • Daily and period-wise attendance, with the exceptions that cause disputes
  • Timetables, internals, board results and report cards
  • Transport routes, stops and the parent's view of the bus
  • Staff attendance, payroll inputs and hostel operations

Statutory weight: RTE reimbursement, board reporting, staff PF and ESI
