An operator needs four things at the machine: what to make next, how many, what the specification is, and where to report what happened. Everything the office wants — plan versus actual, WIP, scrap, utilisation, cost — should be computed from those four, never entered separately.
If the whiteboard is still up and still current after go-live, the system has not been adopted; somebody in the office is keeping it alive by entering yesterday's numbers. The test is whether confirming an operation is cheaper than writing it on the job card.
