The problem

Used by machine operators, planners and the costing desk.

Production software is bought by the office and used on the floor. When confirming an operation costs more than writing it on the job card, the whiteboard survives and the system does not.

Cloog consolidates procurement, inventory, production, quality, sales, finance and HR into eleven modules behind a single login. Data is entered once at intake and flows through every stage to financial reconciliation.

It is built for businesses where material actually moves and changes form — dairy, food, FMCG, pharma, chemicals, beverages and textiles.

A day on Cloog

One ordinary day, tanker to gate pass

Plant software gets demoed in a boardroom, but it earns its keep at the weighbridge, the QC bench and the dispatch gate. This is a dairy: milk in before dawn, tested, turned into paneer and curd, and out of the gate the same afternoon.

What we counted first

Cloog began the way every Oadbox product does — standing at the milk dock at five in the morning, then at the QC bench, then at the gate. Four numbers kept coming back:

11

Registers between dock and ledger

Weighbridge ticket, intake slip, QC logbook, batch card, issue slip, packing tally, gate register — each kept at a different desk, and none of them agreeing by Friday.

The same weight, re-keyed

One tanker's litres typed into the intake register, the stock ledger, the batch record and the purchase bill before anyone in accounts saw them.

40 min

To trace one pouch back

A single retailer complaint meant walking the packing tally, the batch card file and the intake slips before anyone could name the tanker it came from.

6 days

From shift close to yield

Yield against standard arrived once the month's registers were totalled — by which time the batch that ran short had long since left the gate.

Counted across our early plant visits, before Cloog existed. Every plant is different — your numbers are the first thing we ask about.

  1. 4:50 am

    The milk dock

The tanker from the chilling centre backs onto the weighbridge in the dark. The intake operator enters gross and tare once — the litres land against the vendor, the route and a GRN that is now waiting on the lab. Nothing reaches stock until the sample comes back.

  2. 5:35 am

    The QC bench

The QC chemist runs fat, SNF and acidity on the morning's samples and records the readings against the GRN rather than in a logbook the rest of the plant never sees. One tanker is under standard on SNF, so the GRN will not accept itself — it holds until someone with the authority to take it in says so.

  3. 6:30 am

    Batch start

Accepted milk goes to standardisation and the first paneer batch of the day opens on the floor. The BOM issues the milk and the citric acid against the batch, so the shift supervisor confirms quantities on the batch card instead of writing an issue slip for stores to key in later.

  4. 9:15 am

    The packing hall

Paneer comes off the line into 200 g and 1 kg packs. Output is posted against the batch as it is packed, so every pouch carries a batch code and a use-by date the system already holds. By the time the hall is swept, the cold-room stock figure is the one on the screen.

  5. 11:40 am

    The stores desk

Packing film is down to two days' cover, so the storekeeper raises an indent against it. It becomes a ₹2.4 lakh purchase order and climbs the levels that value calls for — stores, plant head, finance — sitting at the last one until the finance manager opens it after lunch. No file walks anywhere.

  6. 2:20 pm

    The dispatch gate

The distributor van loads and dispatch QC signs off on what is going out. The invoice is raised from the same batch and stock records — quantity, batch code, GST — and the gate pass prints against it, so the guard's copy and the accounts copy say the same thing.

  7. Shift close

    The yield question

The plant head checks the day before leaving: litres in, litres accounted for, yield against standard by batch, stock value sitting in the cold room. The paneer batch that came in under standard is on the screen tonight, next to the intake it was made from — not at month-end, when there is nothing left to ask.

What quietly disappears

Nothing about the day changes. The same tankers, the same vats, the same afternoon dispatch — minus the paper everyone assumed was part of the job.

The weighbridge slip carried to the stores desk

The QC logbook only the lab could read

The batch card on a clipboard by the vat

The production register chalked on the wall

The gate register copied into the invoice book

Key workflows

What it actually runs.

01

Procurement with quality gates

Vendor management, indents and purchase orders where acceptance depends on quality results.

02

Live inventory

Stock by batch and location with expiry tracking and physical count reconciliation.

03

Production batches

BOM-driven batches with consumption, output and yield tracking against standards.

04

Quality at every stage

Parameter checks at intake, in-process and dispatch, recorded against the batch.

05

Approval workflows

Multi-level approvals on documents so authority matches your delegation matrix.

06

Sales and finance

Dispatch, invoicing and reconciliation that inherit the same batch and stock data.

07

Real-time MIS

Analytics on stock value, batch counts, yields and costs, without a month-end wait.

08

Secured and logged

Single sign-on, role-based access and complete audit logging.

Why Oadbox

We know the industry

Cloog was designed inside manufacturing operations, not adapted from a horizontal tool.

How manufacturing works

It runs on our core

Tenancy, permissions, statutory compliance, offline mobile and audit trails are inherited, not rebuilt for each product.

Inside the platform

We still operate it

The team that built Cloog runs it — monitoring, support, releases and the next version.
