About the role
Most of the software Oadbox builds is used at a counter — the school fee desk, the clinic front office, the billing counter of a busy shop. Nobody understands what those businesses need better than someone who has sat across the table from them.
As a sales intern in Ballari, that is where you will spend your time. You will visit local businesses, learn how they run today, show them how our products could help, and bring what you hear straight back to the team that builds them. It is a hands-on introduction to selling software, not a desk job making cold calls from a list.
What you will do
- Visit schools, clinics, retailers and other businesses across Ballari to introduce Oadbox products
- Find out how each business works today — its registers, its spreadsheets and where things break
- Arrange product demos and join the team to run them
- Follow up with interested businesses and keep every conversation accurately recorded
- Share what customers tell you with the product team, so the software keeps getting better
- Help plan and run local outreach, from events to partnerships with business associations
What we are looking for
- A student or recent graduate in any discipline — business, commerce and engineering are all welcome
- Confident talking to business owners in Kannada and English
- Comfortable meeting new people every day and hearing “not now” without losing heart
- Organised enough to remember who you met, what they said and when to follow up
- Able to work on-site in Ballari
Good to have
- Telugu or Hindi — plenty of Ballari's business owners speak one or the other
- Some sales, retail or customer-facing experience, even part-time
- Your own two-wheeler, since much of the work means travelling around town
